Ready for The Dreiländer Giro

The DreiländerGiro is in two weeks and I am ready for Stilsferjoch and it´s 1800 meter single shot climb.
This years giro is around 165 km and 3300 meters of climbing. I have been pounding heavy gears on my new Argon Road bike and it has made a big difference in my climbing efficiency.

Here is the profile:

And here is a picture of the top: of Stilfserjoch (Passo di Stelvio):

Dagegen ist Alpe d’Huez ein Kinderspiel!”

Hi – I’ve just got back from Nauders. I can’t believe more brits don’t do this ride. It’s must have some of the best scenery in Europe. I can’t wait for next year. By the way – my brother and I drove over the Stelvio on the way back to Zurich airport and there was a blizzard from about 3km from the top. We were so lucky with the weather on the day of the ride

No doubt about the scenary! How’d you like the headwinds after Ofenpass? You should ride the transalp if you want more scenary! Where you wearing union jack jerseys?

I had one of those ridiculously happy moments riding alone into the headwind. Then got joined by a couple of groups that took me to the final climb. I didn’t see any union jacks – we actually had ukranian (!) flags on our number thing because we’d put UK on our entry form. Thanks for the transalp tip. I’ll check it out.
My favorite bit was probably the descent from the lake at the beginning – seeing the valley open up in front of us. Really magical.
